Winner: Conner4Real
Reason: Not a huge fan of John Brown (week to week), D.J. Moore (on a Thursday) and Jamison Crowder (just generally and especially without Darnold). Devin Singletary still has to deal with Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon in the backfield even if Singletary is the most talented guy in Buffalo. If Mixon or Mike Williams are ready to go this matchup should tilt more in Connor4Real’s favor than it already is.
Smokin LeGarrett Blunts vs. More Groupies for Dukey
Winner: More Groupies for Dukey
Reason: All of the quarterbacks have tough matchups this week which is rough for team Dukey. But the flex plays are solid and the starting lineup (besides the flex) were unaffected by injuries so I’m leaning in favor of More Groupies for Dukey. Could be close if Engram, Cupp, Barkley and Thielen all go off.
Kickers Are People Too vs. A Team Has No Name
Winner: Kickers Are People Too
Reason: Man Brady has juicy matchup, as does Tyrell Williams, as does Damien Williams, as does Njoku, as does Godwin. I like this team even independent of the matchups. Not sure I can trust Dion Lewis if the Titans are ganna run Derrick Henry into the ground and the general effectiveness of James Washington as a player/route runner.
God Hates Jags vs. Warriors30
Winner: God Hates Jags
Reason: Would be a tough choice if the super-flex matchup wasn’t Aaron Rodgers vs. Tarik Cohen. Hunter Henry is hurt and I’m not counting on Derrick Henry every week to score. Can’t say I love playing two tight ends unless I have to; would much rather have someone off the wavier wire like Chark or Sproles to start in his place.
BORTAL KOMBAT vs. The Cleveland Clowns
Winner: BORTAL KOMBAT
Reason: Coleman is out this week which is real tough. Watson has a bad matchup and I’m not counting on rookie tight ends to win me any other weeks besides week 1 (Pettis also only played 2 snaps last week so not sure what’s going on but I can’t trust him until I see otherwise). BORTAL KOMBAT has a solid top to bottom roster and the matchups for most guys are good enough for me to give my approval.
Quon solo vs. My Ball Zach Ertz
Winner: My Ball Zach Ertz
Reason: Christian McCaffery might be the most constantly good fantasy running back this year; I hate that I don't own him anywhere. Chris Carson is a lot better than I expected coming into this year so good on Zach Ertz. There are a lot of boom or bust guys on the roster but Matt Breida and Sony Michele are in for bounce back games. I like a lot of what Quon Solo is doing but I feel like this lineup is relaying on chasing points from last week rather than focusing on this one. I like Waller and A.J. Brown but I’m still unsure of their value going forward. Could be one of the closest games of the week though since Quon Solo’s lineup is improved.
