Reactions coming at y’all
NE vs. HOU
Let’s get right back into it, it’s ganna be a quick watch through
Impressive first drive from Chase, he needs to be talked about more
No but Watson is looking good against dare I say it, a bad defense…
James White is the king RB this game? I could see it. (Was kinda true)
Harris clearly the new Sony but with Sony back he becomes less relevant imo
HOU D-line playing well against a very good NE O-line
Harris is still a good player, but NE uses so many RBs he’s just teetering on the edge
Great throw from Watson to Cooks, Watson is such a better QB it’s funny
Watson again with a sick throw to TE Aikens
Cobb got the TD (but is done for the season)
Watson was very on, the first TD drive makes it clear how important good QB play is
Fuller getting open but penalty negates the play (still a very good player even without stats)
Good end around call, use someone else besides Cam plz lol
But the designed Cam runs are also good
Meyers legit receiver? I buy it
Pats run D on point so far, lead by Chase…
Watson running the ball a lot tho
Wow Watson has been close to perfect today
Watson powering through for the TD really lead with his shoulder, Cam Newton esc lol
Byrd made a nice attempt on a low throw from Cam
HOU D-line and NE O-line really going back and forth this game. HOU D-line really playing up to the competition
NE not playing bad through the first half but HOU offense is just another level, Watson especially
Cooks with a good catch that comes back because of a penalty
Coutee with a TD, I believe he could be fantasy relevant with Cobb out
Harry is still a thing, 3rd year receiver is still a thing right?
Byrd with a nice little catch and run, Byrd with a touchdown YES! The DB really is to blame he did not locate the ball at all (Grimes). Byrd with a good read tho
HOU defense keeping NE in the game
Duke with some good broken tackle moves lol
Fuller with a great grab in tight coverage
Duke Johnson screen is always a good mood
Nice RPO call from Watson, you’re telling me he’s uber talented and a smart QB? Sign me up!
Ried playing well today, good against the run too
Cam with a strong throw on a WR screen
HOU D-line getting after the QB, credit to holding NE to only a field goal
Fuller good run on the screen, he’s almost a complete receiver and I love him
NE running the ball on thier final drive, don’t trust Cam?
What a wGoay to end this with a Hail Mary catch but not TD, Cam is not a good QB but he’s a decent runner.
FInal Thoughts: HOU just had a better QB who was on today and that was enough. HOU defense especially the secondary is still a mess. It’s been years since they have even been serviceable. NE defense played well but not great. Watson was impossible to stop today, any non-god tier level QB and NE would have had a great week defensively. Kinda what I expected coming into the game. NE offensive line played well about half the game, the other half HOU D-line was good to match.
CIN vs. WAS
So sad about Burrow, hope he can make it back next year and isn’t long term affected
Good early throw from Alex Smith, CIN pass rush getting home so quick is surprising, (Lawson good tho)
Good throw by Burrow on third down, still looking very improved from the beginning of the year
Push off from Boyd but they didn’t call it and it was also a really sick catch
CIN missed field goal, yikes it was a good drive they should have gotten points
Terry with a great contested catch on a deeb ball
Gibson with the TD, good blocking and he followed the blocks
Throw little behind Green, good grab by the WR
Green again with a good catch, he still has hands. He’s slow tho
Burrow with a good keep on an option run
Burrow on third almost threw a pick on an inside slant to the WR
4th down run Burrow get’s jacked up by Chase, Chase with a great hit after the safety (Apke) came running in
Thomas with a big drop on a good ball from Smith
Jackson with a good defend on Terry
Good pass defense from Chase, then WAS gets a sack (good plays all around)
Higgins with a good grab absorbing the hit
Burrow with a real desperate throw to Green who makes a good catch and extends to the endzone. Very surprised Green had that in him
Low throw from Smith, good play by Alexander on the 3rd down stop
WAS defense playing well, Bostic with a good play on a run to the outside
WAS D line all over the place, Chase and Sweat are very athletic
CIN with a good rebound kick. Impressive
McKissic getting involved, now the offense is gonna start rolling
Smith with a tipped ball INT not really gonna blame him too hard for that
WAS defense won’t break and is barley bending on a short field
Burrow lofting a pass in the middle of the field, should have been picked. very crazy it wasn’t
Smith getting tackled at the ankle makes a throw to not get sacked
Low quick throw from Burrow incomplete to Higgins, they were almost very on the same page
Gibson with a big run up the middle dragging defenders along
Good route from Simms just beat his guy and Smith made an easy throw for a TD
Terry with great separation, making it easy for Alex Smith
Smith could be a good Qb this year he has a decent cast with him for his skill set
Jackson with another good play on Terry on a short slant
Finley is year kidna yikes, was a good run for first but as a thrower he’s not looking good
Smith and Gibson doing a good job of putting together a lasting drive
McKissic a really good tool for any QB but def for Alex Smith
Bostic again with a good play, running all over the place
Gibson making good reads and cuts on a long drive to try and waste clock
Good run blocking from WAS, they are having a good day for the WAS O-line. CIN pass rush is very meh
Green open again and Darby in coverage. Finley could not get it to him =(
Final Thoughts: Very possible the CIN offense could have pulled this one out if Burrow was able to play the whole game. The WAS defensive line did not get after the QB enough. Alexander played well on Terry the limited amount he was on him. Bostic was playing well against hr run today. Love both WAS running backs. Alex Smith looked fine, should have done more with that was given to him.
MIA vs. DEN
So not excited to review my biggest miss of the weekend (maybe only to the Packers)
Nice move by Tua to get rid of the pass rush but some real bad overthrows from Tua
Lindsay getting stuffed
Terrible pass from Lock, good int from Howard
Oh man Tua gives it right back to Simmons, Simmons having a great year after a slow start. (JK this was a penalty but it was a bad Tua throw and good play from Simmons
Ahmed good bounced outside
Good catch from Parker for the TD, not a great pass from Tua
Both defenses playing really well
Tua good job avoiding pressure but terrible throws (esp deep)
Jeudy trying to get involved Lock isn’t even letting him have a chance tho
Lindsey breaking away, he’s a king. So much more explosive than Melvin
Good job Jeudy on the catch and run, looking strong as fuck
Melvin with a good run, always glad to see
TE almost got a TD, Gordon makes sense for the TD after
Lock bad answer on the drive, throwing way too short of the line
Tua almost having as bad a day as Herbert did last week against MIA, but he is doing well against the rush
Lindsay getting out of the pile is so impressive, he bounced it outside too!
Melvin looking ok now, they are running the ball on the 4 minute drill
Jeudy demolishing his coverage guy and Lock makes a good throw
Tim with a decent stiff arm but good tackle by Howard
Melvin making guys miss looking like Philip out there. Interesting not using Lock most of this drive, a little bit of circumstance
Running the ball through the first half has been real good for DEN
Lock with some decent throws, then a big overthrow to a wide open TE Homm
Rowe with a good job stopping Jeudy short
MIA defense holding Gordon on a 4th down run, great to see
Gordon trying to get away but MIA defense too strong
Lock finding Hamler on a good throw
Lock big overthrow, has a great arm I guess
Gordon with a good run for the TD. Good blocking this drive on the TD from the DEN O-line
Tua more overthrows deep wow, he’s been fine shorter than 10 yards but anything further has been trash
Circus almost catch from Parker but there was PI which is worth anyway
Tua good run, good job at taking away sacks even though this MIA O-line is looking bad against a good pass rush
Great tackle from Jackson on a quick throw to Ahmed
Fitz is in and looking good as fuck
Fitz almost pick threw behind the receiver, yikes
Another sack by the Denver D line this time on a very agile Fitz. Great game by the Denver D line
Lindsay with a great run, broke the tackle so quick
Gordon with a great run almost TD but fumbles oh my god the worst thing to happen
Maybe consider using Lindsay because he does not fumble
Parker is having a great game, making crazy plays at least
Way to hold to the ball Gesicki
MIA O-line holding, having a terrible day
Fitz with a scary throw almost INT from Jackson, Jackson having a very good day
Simmons with a game sealing pick, would have had 2 this game for sure. Having a great day and great year again Simmons is
Lindsay getting the ball to run down the clock and he isn’t getting there but breaking tackles
Patrick saved his fantasy day by getting being Howard and getting not that close to the endzone
Final Thoughts: All 3 QBs did not have a good day, give credit to both of these defenses. Fitz played the best. Jeudy had a good day despite the QB play and same for Parker. Still think Jeudy will be the best WR in this class. Howard, Jones, Simmons and Jackson all good days on defense. Chubb was fine against a bad O-line but the rest of the DEN D-line played up this week as well.
NO vs. ATL
Ridley with a big first catch
Why can’t this first drive be like this for ATL the whole time. Bad throw by Ryan to end the drive let’s try to ignore that
Hill getting sack on a big 3rd down, great play all around by the ATL defense. Pass rush got there and the secondary was all over Thomas
Harris with a big run
Kamara, with some good runs but def value down with Hill at QB
I know Gurley is slow as fuck and behind an average O-line but he can make cuts well and sees the field really well
NO defense stepping up with Julio out
Quick first quarter too
Hill not looking so bad so far but not ready to say this game is good yet
Kamara just following the blocks
Thomas with a huge drop
Hill getting tackled by Harris, he is not escaping the pocket like you would like a running QB to do
Got another sack from NO, this def a coverage sack, but the NO defense with Davenport is much better than without. He is becoming worth the draft day trade.
Hill on the run didn’t look good but it was a nice throw
Hill deep ball is hella short the receiver made a good play on it though by Sanders
Even in limited work Kamara is still goated
Matty Ice having a mixed bag of a first half
Matty with a pick at the end of the half, doesn’t really count in my book
Quick step drop looking really nice from Hill, hitting the slant king for a nice gain. Great play
Lots of yards gained after catch from NO players
Another quick drop this time deflected from the line, he’s a little small for a QB and the balls have been low. Makes sense
NO D-line is really eating, in combo with the secondary making matty hold the ball. Cam still has great moves
Hill lack of arm strength is worth noting and from a clean pocket
Decent throw over the middle but thank god it was to Michael Thomas
Cook with a good attempt on the sideline
Hill running the ball is fine, especially on consistent designed runs. Hill reminds me of a Cam Newton who can still make accurate throws. But def less good at running but not by much
NO defense is winning this game, the pass rush is getting there but they are really holding Ridley to not that much
ATL defense playing not terrible either, the secondary looks a lot better than it has been on paper
Love the designed runs if you can keep doing it, I’m ignoring that fumble which was real bad by the way
Alexander LB almost jumped a route and had a pick, not a great throw from Ryan
Gage getting targeted a lot but without good players taking the good coverage away his upside is super limited
Julio back in the game? only played 35% of snaps
Terrible throw from Ryan, should def had been picked for sure
Ryan started out so well but has been kinda bad since halftime
Jenkins got beat earlier in the game a few times but has been lock down ever since. He’s been great this year
Final Thoughts: Hill had a fine game, he did better than I expected but the NO defense won this game easy. Thomas needs time to get back to normal but I expect him to bounce back this season. I just want to hype on th defense they played so well against a very good ATL offense who have been hot as fuck recently. Not to take away too much from the ATL defense who played fine. Julio is a huge loss if he’s out next week or is effected by this long term. Still worried about NO as long as Brees is out tho.
CAR vs. DET
I had to see this with my own eyes because wow getting shut out by CAR is huge. It requires some action lol
38 min on condensed, a fairly fast game
Walker with a good throw on third down, def on the receiver but credit Walker a little
I guess missing Golladay and Swift impacted this offense a lot (haven’t seen it on film yet)
Big drop on a short throw by Peterson, Swift wouldn’t have dropped it (if you forget about week 1)
Moore demolished Okudah, man he is having a shit season
We knew coming into the week that DET has a weak defense. that def showed on first DT drive from CAR. The QB didn’t have to do much
Big fumble, low snap. Good recovery by CAR
Walker with a pick in the endzone, good play from Oruwariye
Don’t hate screens to Samuel, don’t hate CAR getting creative with Walker at QB
Stafford doing a great job
CAR defense doing good on a very injured DET offense
Stafford really trying his best with nothing available
Walker with a good run, one of his better plays of the first half
Good throw by Walker to Robbie for a big gain
Walker on the run drops a dime to Moore on the run
Love getting creative with CAR defense
Easy TD for Samuel, not that open, good throw. But man this DET is fucking terrible, especially in the secondary. Hate this DET defense
Short throws wont get it done and they have not been all day
Good throw to Hock no surprise he’s the leading receiver this game
Stafford with a good throw and good grab by Jones but penalty brings it back
Good pressure from CAR
Slye is such a great kicker, also good job from CAR on a longer drive, props to the WRs
Good play action look from everyone on the offense, of course goes to Hock
Burns with a great move to get the sack
Stafford doing a good job but man he has no help from his receivers
Big INT from Walker, there were only DET guys around that ball. Moved down the field well tho
Stafford getting sacked again, kinda a coverage sack this time
Stafford low throw on the screen, hasn’t been his best today
ok garbage time is in full effect and the DET offense is rolling now lol
Final Thoughts: Are we seeing the CAR defense actually play to the best of thier ability? Probably not, Stafford was down a lot of weapons and under pressure a lot. The DET O-line did not play well which I think we can give credit to the CAR D-line. The DET secondary is fucking terrible, not sure what’s going on with Okudah but it isn’t good. Arnette playing way better than him ;). But long term def too early to see. I worry about Walker as the QB if he has to go this upcoming week. The CAR WR group is top 10 for sure right?
GB vs. IND
I don’t want to watch this one either but let’s do it =(
Packers fumble I think on Rodgers. Very bad for Rodgers
Another fumble, Mo-Allie gives it right back after two good offensive plays. Rivers not looking terrible
Rodgers should have thrown the ball on 3rd and 1 with 10:30ish to go. Bad mentals there
Lewis is so good at blocking any catches it’s just icing on the cake
Tonyan wide open for a score, IND defense caught playing shitty lol Kenny Moore shame on you
Hilton wide open, man this Colts O-line is helping River so much through the first quarter
Good TD run from Pittman, nothing special but good vision with the ball. Don’t hate it
GB defense playing well this 3rd drive to end the half, pass rush still isn’t getting there tho
Wow Rodgers with a lazy or just made a soft throw to an open receiver but Rock Ya-Sin made a great play for the INT
lol Rivers hopped away from a sack, literally hopped. R. Gary please do better
Adams great job being wide open, need to throw to Jones more, he’s a great RB
If I could buy low on Aaron Jones I would right now, need to use him a bit more in the passing game tho
Saint Brown, good after the catch moves
Jones with a great job pushing to get into the endzone
Tipped ball int from Rivers not his fault, had an open receiver to hit. Good play by Winn
Gary getting some good pressure
Williams with a good run on third down, Sternberger good grab and run
Good job getting the ball in Adam’s hands but good blocking from MVS and Lazard too
Green bay up big, how do they blow this
Taylor good job falling forward for a first down on a catch
Great contested catch from Pascal and great job breaking tackles, Rivers with a good throw too
Burton with a nice TD grab but man Rivers has been really good this game, I guess that might last?
Leonard on Adams, nice he only got a 6 yard gain
Running game getting it done, not a lot of yards per carry but they are getting first downs
Good deep ball for MVS draws the penalty on Rock
Williams with a short TD, way to use the RBs. Goal line important, short throws too for the RBS
28 points at half and GB can;t score anymore this game? fuck me
Taylor getting the ball in his hands is smart, he just needs volume right now. Kinda like a better Derrick Henry play to play
Hines good catch in the slot, would be ok seeing more of that
There we go Kenny Clark sack, good to see
Rivers still playing well, even in the pocket he’s making moves
GB offense doesn’t seem in sync, the O-line is playing the best football in the second half for the GB offense
Savage with a good pass defended
Taylor with a good catch again, Rivers with a good head down run but credit the O-line on short yardage situations
Rivers should have had a pick on a deep throw that was way off target
Hines with a good run with his head down
Hilton with a good catch but man Philip Rivers is having a day he made a great throw to Hilton
Rivers with a tight throw to Doyle for TD, he’s been so on today it’s crazy
Hines with another good extra point run with short yardage situations. Good stuff
IND defense stepping up big in the 3rd quarter, GB is not playing well though
Using Jones in the passing game is real good
Seeing some great moves from Tyquan Lewis, interesting to note
Big 4th down play that IND has completely covered. Good defense again
4th down conversion using Hines out wide, makes a great slant work for the first
GB making a good play beating the IND O-line. Smith in on the forced incompletion
MVs with a great catch on a short throw from Rodgers with 3 IND CBs near him
Good find from Rodgers under pressure
Let’s go to OT baby not sure how GB got the ball and lost this one
Oh right it was the MVs fumble, very sad but he had a great day outside of this and made a good catch that allowed GB to be even in this game. Don’t shit on him shit on your defense (secondary)
Good win for IND but not a very convincing one imo
Final Thoughts: IND played well and up to GB’s level but they do have two back to wins against good opponents. Think it shows you no team is infallible. Love the IND O-line or really on both sides of the ball. Rivers played out of his mind today and that def helped. Pittman and Pascal are not terrible receivers and def helped RIvers in this game. Love seeing Hines in the slot and he performed well there. Clear Taylor should be the top RB tho. GB had some tough plays go against them but the secondary was not very good this week. They can’t be this off going forward (minus Jiare). Rodgers is fine but sometimes it just ain’t enough. MVS has been good these past few weeks. Love seeing the RBs involved in the offense, they should use them more than the TEs.
TB vs. LAR
I didn’t watch any of this so I had to do it now
Surprising to see Goff with basically all of the offense this game, interesting
Good play action from Goff to hit the TE, perfect call
Hate the TE screen or handoff
Kupp with a good catch in coverage then breaks some tackles for a bigger gain, good blocking from Everett
Good stop by Whitehead on the first and goal run
Good job on Goff finding Woods in the endzone, good pass blocking this drive so of course Goff succeeds . The LBs need to sink more when in the endzone, that’s on David for sure
Brady getting pressured and barley gets off his throws
Deep ball from Brady to Evans, Ramsey with PI but that’s something you deal with with him. Ramsey is chippy but I love it
Godwin is the best receiver on this team hands down
Jones with a good run outside, great blocking on the inside
Jalen can tackle too, Evans is not getting around him
Of course Evans scores his TD not on Jalen, he fought his way onto the endzone, would not have happened on Jalen
Goff rolling out or doing jailbreak screens def help with his pressure issue
Almost a really good grab from Gronk in tight coverage
Brate still involved! Nice!
Evans getting wide open on what looked like a push off but not called
Lenny with a good run just being a power back, just a good run my dude
David letting up another catch but well covered this time
Kupp doing a great job after the catch
Nice TD from Van Jefferson on Dean. Good catch but almost lost it on the slant
Still don’t know why they aren’t getting Brown as involved as he has been. I hate it.
Rams D-line is playing very well against a very good TB O-line
Brady should have been picked with 1:53 to go in the half
Everett with a good grab
Woods good job getting extra yards on the catch
Goff with bad throw on the screen and Pierre-Paul makes a pick, two weeks in a row!
Lenny with a big drop on 3rd down
Woods with a catch in the middle of the field (done twice now). Good coverage from TB but Woods and Goff are beating them being perfect
Henderson with the best run of the day in the third quarter
Woods almost double covered in zone a good amount but getting it done. Good plays form Goff too
Brady with a terrible throw downfield under pressure, also TB was holding on that play/ Justin Hollins getting good pressure
Everett is wide open and Goff puts it on him under pressure, play action also working to freeze the defense
Goff always throwing short for the TDs, he’s great in the short game
Williams having another good game, I’m getting ready to call this LAR secondary good. It’s already about average
Kupp, stop getting so open
Almost a good deep ball from Goff, meh
Oh man and the LAR defense overall is just playing well. the D line, Brockers, Floyd, Donald and Hollins are killing it. Same with Ebukam but less so.
Feel like TB is getting away with a good amount of holds this game too
Pierre-paul for MVP of this defense
Great 4th down stop at 8:16 from the LAR defense even on a “natural pick”
Goff almost fumble on the exchange, why am I seeing this happen once a game
Whitehead having a day, not usually the best guy on the defense but is this game
Good comeback from Evans on Jalen
Godwin still best reciever on TB
Woods and Kupp are taking these CBs to town
The TB corners are getting dominated imo
This game feels like an easy Brady comeback victory, what happened?
Some bad throws rom Brady but some good ones to get them close (2 & 2 lol). Deep ball just overthrown to Brate probably not the best target downfield
Final Thoughts: LAR WRs just outplayed the TB CBs. I’m surprised but not too surprised. Also can’t say this result was that much of an upset. This was always a possibility, Goff dealt with pressure better than I thought he would but he got the ball out quick and receivers were just fucking open. LAR defensive line was getting after Brady all game. Most guys on the LAR D-line was great this game. TB corners and secondary had a bad game, I’m willing to write it off as a bad game from a young secondary. Brady was fine for most of the game but had some very passes that kinda lost them the game too.
