CLE vs. TEN
Lost the under on the points on this one lol (-51)
Corey Davis and the TEN offense starting out strong
Henry cutting a lot better this year but still slow and sometimes he easily falls down (and not forward)
Drop by the damn O-lineman on a good throw from Ryan T
Man I hate this TEN defense, I went to bat for them way too early and the Browns are demolishing them in the passing game too!
Baker on the play action is undefeated, I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again
The play action thing really has to do with the RBs probably just as much as Bakers talent/the coaching staff letting him work with a limited field
AJ Brown with an insane catch and really well covered double coverage by the Browns
Another risky throw from Tanny but this time to Davis and he comes down with it, good coverage by the Browns but the TEN WRs are fucking bonkers and maybe if Brown stayed healthy all game they might have had a legiter comeback
Donovan People-Jones burned his defender, Baker hit him deep. It was easy and the TEN defense looks worse
Browns doing a great job stopping Henry without good LBs, interesting. The D line is doing some good work.
Baker strong throwing out of a sack, nice.
Good deep strike to Higgins for like 20 yards from Baker.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention home good the blocking has been from CLE, giving Baker so much time.
Great throw from Baker to Higgins for the score, wow what a throw, Baker unleashed. Good route from Higgins, almost good coverage from Borders.
Browns piling it on more with a sack before the half at like 4:30 left in the second quarter.
Good blocking on the outside from Higgins, man he is having a great day
Landry maybe 100% since coming off the bye? Could be great for the fantasy playoffs.
Easy TD from Chubb, thank the O-line (but Chubb is great anyway)
End of the half
TEN fumbling (literally) thier chances at getting more points before halftime. This could have been critical. Also it was Brown who fumbled but he was def the perfect guy for a screen
TEN coming out of the gate hot vs the Browns defense, on the TD the safeties really fucked up. Sendejo, I expected more out of you this year
Stuffed Henry on the two point conversion, B.J. Goodson stuff Henry in addition to Sendejo (surprising)
The comeback has begun and we are less than a 1:30 into the 3rd quarter
Big 3 and out from CLE to start the second half
Defense still looking good vs Henry. Blocking on the other side for the run at 10:52 was real good, seeing good blocking from the TEN O-line
Corey Davis with a good button hook and breaking tackles too. He’s still hella underrated
AJ Brown with another fumble but this time luckily was recovered from a TD. Great strip from Terrance Mitchell
I know people probably know this but Chubb is a better runner than Hunt but having them both is unfair with a lead. Like leit it is UNFAIR. I use that language alot but this time I really mean it.
Herny with a nice run, starting to do well
Another sack from the Browns D line, underrated line with Garrett there
TEN got bailed out with a penalty
Good comeback routes from the TEN WRs, multiple WRs but also good coverage from the Browns (sometimes those routes cannot be stopped in man)
Garrett is still a monster, holy fuck he dominated Quessenberry
Hunt got a first down a screen that 95% of RBs would have lost yards on. Crazy
Brown could not hold onto a pass similar to one he came down with earlier in the game. This was the ball before that was well covered in double coverage
Davis with a good route and held onto the ball after a huge hit over the middle
Another good Davis catch in coverage!
OK this game is over but a nice comeback from TEN, impressive they did not give up and they have the offensive talent to do it.
Final Thoughts: Really impressive game from CLE, make me think they might be a contender. Not to shit on TEN they also have a very good offense (defense did step up in the second half which I will give some credit to the coaching staff). But man CLE is beating the bad teams and the good ones too (TEN, DAL Week 3, WAS, HOU, IND). I love the running game and if they can get Baker to play like he did in this one and against DAL they could give the Steelers and others a run for thier money. Maybe not KC tho. Love the TEN offense, Henry growing on me a bit more this year going from a top 10 RB to a top 6 RB for me.
MIA vs. CIN
Brandon Allen is not a bad backup
Good deep ball idea form Allen and a good catch out of bounds from Higgins
Let’s see Tua, he got them the win but did he actually help them? My recollection was this was a Gaskin game, let’s see if it pans out. (meh Tua didn’t help, it was the defense)
Bates, really good coverage on Gesicki. Kinda a bad throw from Tua.
Higgins good slant route
Allen with a pass behind Boyd, he was open
Allen dealing with the blitz throwing it up to Tee but man Howard is having a great rebound year and comes down with the pick. Can’t throw near him
Paker beat his defender off the line and Tua missed him, follows up with a throw that might have been picked. Defense bailing out the MIA offense.
CIN getting the tight end involved early is interesting. Good play call imo from CIN, stay away from the MIA CBs.
Boyd takes it for the score, showing why this group can be dangerous next year with a good QB. Think Burrow is a gonna be good next year but not great.
Good quick throw from Tua
Not seeing much from the MIA running game yet
Tua decent job getting out of pressure and running, not as fast as I would like but still fine
Good run from Gio first time I’m saying that all game, most runs are non-starters with this line
As much as I love the CIN WRs they are getting shut down by Howard and Jones and the rest of the MIA secondary. Not a lot of separation at all this game
CIN should have at least had another field goal. Fuck that is hella disappointing
MIA getting a field goal before the half is what good teams do. Looking at you CIN.
Nice throw over the middle past the LBs for MIA
Big hole from Gaskin, could not break the one tackle he needed to
Gasking getting behind the defense on a pass!
Late throw but good catch from Gesicki
Grant can wiggle and move, nice but not sure if fantasy relevant
Tua with some miscommunication with the WR, not great but whatever
Great catch of the middle from Gesicki, we are so close to big breakout. If Tua gets it together next year I’m salivating in fantasy drafts.
Good job avoiding the rush Tua and a decent throw but an incomplete pass =(
MIA defense coming up hugeeee
Gesicki again in the middle of the field! Amazing
MIA defense coming up again. They will only get better next year too.
I feel like I’m watching a replay every time MIA gets a sack, has CIN ever had a good O-line?
Vonn again with a fumble recovery at least he’s good at that but you guessed it Jesse Bates forced the fumble =) PFF undefeated.
Emmanuel Ogbah fucked his O-line counterpart and then paid for dinner in a show of dominance. Damn, he’s a king and everyone who is trying to contend this year that missed out on him should be kicking themselves. (lol Browns)
Finish this one off with an INT, bad throw from Allen and he paid the price.
Gaskin running like a champ, CIN could not stop him
Final Thoughts: MIA defense strikes again. They won this game. Allen is just a fine backup. Can’t wait to see CIN next year, they have a good offense when healthy. CIN should have covered. I love Gesicki and if we see Tua make any kind of jump this year Mike is gonna be a top 5 TE next year for fantasy. Still think Fitz gives MIA the best chance to win rn.
LV vs. NYJ
People forget about Crowder, they always forget about him until he bites you in the face.
Darnold has a good company of WRs to throw to
Nice route by Crowder for the TD
Darnold looking good on the first drive, blocking was good too. LV has a trash defense
Carr deep ball just out of range of Ruggs, love that he is taking shots deep tho
Also just get the ball in Waller’s hands, he’s the best receiver in LV by far
Tipped ball from Ruggs for the INT, not even on Carr. That was 100 Ruggs fault
Good tackle by Jarrett (37) in space on Waller
The next play he gets called for PI because he got beat on his route. Damn it Jarrett
Waller wide open, will see that alot
That first drive was all Waller, the TD was because of a bad play on the route by Lamar Jackson
Great slant by Crowder for a bunch of yards
Good job on Darnold on the progressions
Crowder with another route, blame the second score on the defense. He sat down in the zone, they have to read it better. LV defense is kinda trash
Darnold with a great pocket presence and good throw to Mims over coverage
The next play we got a strip fumble from Darnold. The best part of the LV defense is the D-line and it’s not close
Darnold with a dumb pass that got picked Mulen, he had great position on the WR
Nice grab by Agholor, should be in the mix more
Waller stiff arming Mayne for the TD is sad but also makes sense. Mayne isn’t a great tackler
Perriman with the drop, still has that problem
Another sack, close to coverage sack but the Raiders were beating Jets O-line bad on that one
Nice sack by Hewitt, impressed. The Jets D stopped the Raiders from capitalizing on the strip sack
Good run by Booker, he is a fine fantasy replacement but that’s it and that’s all I need to say on this one.
Good job Renfroe rolling forward, any yardage counts any way you can get it. Love that in a receiver.
Waller on the cross route is the reason I hate man to man
Carr with the goal line rush, love it
False start from Crowder probably the worst he did all day
Darnold is just getting worse as the game goes on, it’s sad.
Carr missed an open Booker in the flat, worst throw he’s made all day
Yikes the Jets line just let a LB come straight through and sack Darnold. This is such a bad team (that has some good pieces tho)
Don’t love Adams as a runner, he runs very straight up and I hate it
Darnold with a great pump fake and run for like 17 yards
Darnold on a keeper for the TD! Bodied a defender to get into the endzone, love the effort but it doesn’t make up for bad decision making
Becton has not been good this game, very sad
Good route by Mims for a 2 point conversion
I can’t believe I’m gonna defend Gase and the coaching staff here but I love the calls on the Jets drive to take the lead. Didn’t love the last playcall that got the TD but everything else was good work.
Great play by Mayne to save a big play to Agholor on a depe throw in single coverage. Really like him
Waller of course coming back and killing the Jets late
Terrible throw by Carr into the crossing route but I guess he saw holding? Maybe? IDK?
Good coverage again from Mayne in the endzone
Jets bringing heat on 3rd and 8, prelude to the game ender
Carr and Renfroe did nothing wrong on the TD they called back, sad
Carr with less arm strength than I would like on the short TD run
Can’t believe the Jets let the Raiders have the ball again. Total incompetence
OK so let’s go through the final play.
1. They ran a similar blitz on 3rd and 8 earlier in the game that worked. Carr threw a terrible ball on that play.
2. Blame Jordan Jenkins for biting on a Ruggs fake then go deep route
3. Blame the Jets for putting a linebacker on Ruggs
4. Carr mad a good play in the pocket to by time
I wouldn’t blame the specific playcall but these other factors.Final Thoughts: Basically the same thing I’ve been saying all year. Love some the Jets player but Beckton wasn’t good on Sunday. Gruden must be in the conversation for coach of the year. Mims was a little too quiet this game tho. Not a great look vs a bad LV defense.
IND vs. HOU
Rivers with a good release under pressure
Hilton with a great catch and run on the horrible Texans secondary
Bucker with the sack up the middle, great play. Great player.
I can’t find it in me to bet against Watson, he is a great player.
Coutee with a good run after catch but man Watson is just avoiding the pressure and making such a good throw deep it’s crazy (how the Texans are gonna waste his talent over the next few years).
Hate the deep throw to Cooks in basically triple coverage
Cooks value in fantasy is tripling along with Coutee
Great job holding onto the ball on the catch from Hilton (even though he was out of bounds)
Hines with a really good run outside after cutting outside, also good blocking
Coutee getting hit and holding onto the ball over the middle of the field is very encouraging
Rivers good read to Taylor on the outside (who was wide open). HOU defense is fucking terrible, worse than LV? It’s close.
Good run by David Johnson for the TD. Hasn’t been that great all game but that TD was better than I think Duke could do.
Get Taylor more involved please, Hines has been better than expected but between the tackles most of the time Taylor is the obvious choice
Pittman with a catch over the middle and took a big hit
Surprised the score ended up being 26-20 when at half the score is 24-20. Crazy
No points scored in the third, lets see if that was incompetence or not.
Pittman looking fast on the outside, good see it =)
Watt with a sack, he’s kinda gone under the radar with how well he’s played this year.
Rivers more mobile than Foles but not by much
Hines adds more value to this team in the passing game/special teams than he ever could between the tackles.
Nice RPO decision from Rivers and grab by TY. TY is having a great game. Not sure why tho
That third quarter blew by, I’m not sure what to say. Good defensive football I guess like the Rams and Pats Super Bowl in 2018.
OK I think HOU might be missing a WR1? Maybe that stalled them in the 3rd and 4th quarter? Not sure
Grimes with a good play on Cox to break up a pass to big TE
Good job on Taylor for securing the ball on an attempted strip.
The Texans O-line is heavily letting down Watson but he has held onto the ball for a long time in the second half
Hines with another big return stopped by a penalty
Texans defense stepping up a bit but on this side of the ball INDY is dropping the ball easily.
If there wasn’t a bad snap from the center HOU would have won or at least covered. Fucking ridiculous
Final Thoughts: Watson was doing his heroics in the first half but died in the second thanks the the INDY D line. Love Coutee and Cooks going forward in fantasy but I wonder (with reference points to the 3rd and 4th quarter) if they will really miss Fuller going forward. Still don’t love the INDY offense but they play well enough with a good D to win games.
PIT vs WAS
Good play on Darby on the deep ball to JuJu
Ben getting the ball out fast is smart, will need to against this WAS D-line
Very early defensive battle, looking good to hit that +8.0 for WAS. Love it.
Gibson with a good run, really like the blocking from WAS on the big run
The sacks were coming and now they are here with 8.29 to go in the first quarter.
Nice grab on a low throw from Thomas, nice hands!
Big special teams mistake from Allen on Pitt, really play but the right call.
Nice throw on the run from Alex Smith to Thomas but the Steelers D is all over it.
Johnson almost had a good grab on Darby but he was just out of bounds.
Smith slinging the balls very fast, Sims has to hold on. All receivers do when playing against a very good defense. Kill me he demolished Nelson off the line
WAS defense is ravaging the Steelers, if only the offense could stay on the field
Looks like Gibson is not coming back, sucks
Nice lo throw to Ebron from Ben, quick release, he’s still got it in the brain department
Dionte just ran over a dude, damn didn’t think he could do that. He ran over Dunbar.
Every yard is struggle vs WAS. I love it. Ben tried to fit it in a tight window for the score but WAS all over it and punished Ebron.
Dionte did it twice, nice job in the redzone
Claypool with an amazing catch up in the air
Thomas is getting a lot of looks short, makes sense when Smith is panicked has less time
Washington in for the score, can always break away. He's a great 4th WR
Terry in double coverage, had Haden beat but the throw was not far enough. Damn Alex Smith
Alex Smith is bleeding a lot holy shit
WAS coming out hot moving the ball quick down the field, Thomas is having a day against this bad steelers safety group
Why is Washington using Mckissic to run up the middle, I know Gibson is out but still
Great play from Joe Haden on the fade to knock the ball out of Simms hands
Took em 5 plays but WAS got in on the goal line with Barber who probs could have done it done on first down
Ebron dropped a wide open completion
Way to hold on JuJu, Moreland almost ripped it out. Bostic playing well this game right now
Fumbled snap and WAS is all over the RB that recovered, love the intensity
Dionete with a drop on third down, not a good look
McKissic looks like a receiver out there and I love it.
Got a field goal out of thier drive leading into the 4th good, but not good enough
Sweat is a great player, he gets overshadowed by Chase but he’s still very good if not maybe even better than Chase right now
Bad throw over the middle by Ben into triple if not double coverage then. Juju paid the price
Payne with a run stop, man this defense is insane. They desperately need a good QB
Convinced WAS offense wouldn’t be 30% as effective as it is without Mckissic
Fuck me Ben looking like Lamar Jackson out here dodging defenders, fuck me
Fuller with a great play on 3rd and 1 in coverage. I love it.
They went for it on 4th and passed to a running back out of the backfield. Terrible call
Sweat won this game, and I’m fucking here for it
Final Thoughts: Go Wash, not surprised they won because PIT doesn’t have a great offense. Defense can win games (along with Mckissic, what an underrated gem).
NO vs. ATL
Smothering defense from NO off the bat. Makes a lot of sense.
Good coverage back from ATL, Hill looked OK but the ATL defense was really good
Julio getting stood up and hit immediately, wow this NO defense is not letting anyone get any form of separation. I’m getting so close to calling them the best team in the NFL. They might be already and I’m behind on the news.
Sad drive from the ATL defense on the first score from NO
Big drop from Gage, maybe give him another year? IDK I’ve def moved on this year but he still has the potential for big games as long as everyone else is healthy.
Hill should have been picked by Oliver, just through his hands.
I know Kamara’s fantasy value is decreased but he is still a king.
Thomas can catch, don’t forget about him. Not a star with Taysom tho.
A hold from NO. Feels like this was the first on in a while
Thomas in the short game is great
Hill with a decent throw on 4th down, but it was dropped =(
Decent running from Ito so far, still like Gurley was better even if he is slower
Lattimore is having a game, starting to erase the bad performances earlier in the year. Man this NO team is coming together.
Onyemata with a sack, he’s been good this year. Is there any part of this team that is bad when healthy?
ATL getting stuck again kicking field goals, this is how they last the game 2 weeks ago.
Lots of screen sform this saints offense
Man Taysom lacks some serious arm strength
Good touchdown from Kamara
This is game feels like an exact retread of two weeks ago holy shit
Ridley took a shot from Williams the NO safety
Taysom is a decent runner, the only reason he is fantasy relevant
Good job stepping up from Taysom Hill
Impressed with NO O-line getting it done in short yardage vs a good ATL D-line
Gage with a nice catch on a ball behind him, not a bad throw from Matty
Gage burned em on the out but I’m not convinced he’s anything other than touchdown dependent for the playoffs
NO won in spite of Taysom, doesn’t mean he’s a bad fantasy option tho
Davis with a great play on third down, Gurley isn’t fast enough to recover if he’s going backwards
Hill almost gave the game away with that fumble
ATL had another chance at the end of the game
Final Thoughts: I really don’t have much to say about either of these teams that I have not said already. This was almost a retread of 2 weeks ago but with Julio. That probably gives them the extra TD. New Orleans is the best team in the league right now.
MIN vs. JAX
Not going to comment too much on this because I know the Jags MIN won, so whatever. Will look at Johnson a bit more because I liked him coming out of Texas
O'Shaughnessy with a great catch over the middle
Crazy touchdown to Shnault, not a good throw from Glennon but the Jags were gonna have to get lucky to win this one
Big catch from Colin Johnson in double coverage, really like the Jags receivers but they don’t have a QB and it’s sad
Great run defense so far from the Jags, they have good linebackers so it makes sense even if the D-line is lacking
Lavishka like twice a game has a good run, I like that about him. The coaches are doing a job with him.
Jack is all over the place
Colin doing a nice job of breaking tackles too, even on the safeties
Good coverage from MIN but man these Jags receivers are hauling it in
Glennon I should give some credit to as well, the INT from Danzantler was the game changer here. Good play by the CB but everyone else was doing thier job
Kirk is under a lot of pressure this game, very surprised the Jags D line is playing so well against the MIN O-line
Robinson with a step and cut back. I love it
Jags safeties getting roasted in coverage and tackling this game. It’s embarrassing
Robinson makes it look easy sometimes, wow what a fucking gem
Joe Scho with his best play of the year and he really didn’t do anything lol Dalvin probably has some blame on that
Barcoo can’t cover anyone let alone two star receivers
Cook shaking off Jags safeties, man they such especially Jones 29 (not sydney)
Trey Herndon making a decent plays this game, nice
Glennon is getting crushed this game, surprised the Jags line is looking so bad
Kirk on a fumbled snap put the ball between his legs made a read and delivered a strike, nice play.
Chaisson has been my biggest disappointment this year and I’m big mad about it
Great catch from Chark, Glennon is really trusting his WRs and it pays off because they are not getting enough separation
A NON JAMES ROBINSON RUN IN THE REDZONE. REEEEEE
Another Jags game that comes down to a 2-point conversion lol This time they get it but what is it like the 3rd time this year?
Of course the Jags didn’t get the ball to start lol
Smoot is player well, he’s a good role player for the Jags but he hasn’t been and I don’t think he can be a consistent starter.
Glennon’s one big mistake for an INT was terrible but man he played well all game outside of that
Final Thoughts: MIN is now 6-6 and that’s scary IMO. They won’t make the playoffs but it’s getting closer. MIN just doesn’t have a defense and they play TB, CHI, NO, DET so I don’t think the playoffs are in the cards. Surprised the MIN O-line wasn’t so good vs the Jags. That worries me about the MIN line. JAX does have the best shot to win with Glennon and I hate that I just wrote that. Go Jags.
CHI vs. DET
Let’s get into this fucking absolute cringe
Good enough start for the CHI offense.
Great tackle from Gardner-Johnson to stop Hock from getting a first down
Great tackle by Skrine to stop the Lions on the end around
Miller with a not great run, not sure why they use him and not Patterson on that stuff
Patterson with a good run but he looks so awkward doing it.
Montgomery got stuffed early in the game on 3rd down but now he is breaking tackles all over the place and scoring TDs without the help of the line.
Good blitz pickup by DET and good job in the pocket from Stafford
Love to see Cephus getting involved
Hock can’t be covered by Gibson, he won’t be able to stop him. Put Johnson or Fuller on him
Robinson is way open, nice job finding him Mitch
Great read from Mitch on the rpo
Patterson having a great day but the passing offense got us here
Big overthrow from Stafford, not great to see
Cephus having a big day was open but Stafford couldn’t get it to him when he was wide open.
I’m loving Patterson at RB right now, great cut back
You can do so much more with Mitch rolling out and it’s great
I still don’t understand how the Lions scored so many points the Bears defense looks fine through the first half.
Oh we got a deep ball to Cephus for a score, damnnnnn. One off plays really bother me. Bad playcall too
Surprised they are running the ball in the two minute drill, taking TDs away from Mitch =(
Mitch can scoot, not well but like 10x better than Foles butttt he was a way worse deep ball
CHI is not getting nearly enough pressure on DET. ONLY 2 SACKS is insane
Great side-arm pass to Jesse James. (I hate that fucking name)
Moony with a good move, he seems like a nice speedy receiver to have
Kmet with a score, still like Graham
Stafford Side arm backfires wowy great play by Nicholas
I like Kmet but I won’t go in on a rookie tight end even if he was the first pick in the draft
Mitch doing a great job leading a drive but got sacked to end the drive. Sad, not his fault
WOW what a throw from Stafford to get to Amendola in the tightest coverage I’ve seen all day
DET is moving the ball and CHI def is CRUMBLING
Good job Mitch running the ball, the fumble is bad but IDK what Mitch was supposed to do about it
The Bears line has been terrible, they only let up 2 sacks but lots of pressure on Mitch
Montgomery killing it this game
Robinson with a terrible play, needs more awareness to get the first. Honestly he’s been amazing all year so can’t fault him
Surprised they ran it on 4th but I guess they noted it worked in the past and tried it again
Final Thoughts: I hate this game. I hated it. Bears defense let down the team, some missed plays at key moments handed DET the win. Great play from Cephus, who I’ve talked about a bunch this year. Stafford deserves a lot of credit. Mitch is by far the best option at QB can’t believe this team traded for Foles.
NE vs. LAC
Going a little smaller now. Cam still can’t throw, thank God that’s still true.
Cam is stealing all the goal line carries, Harris is so good tho. Disappointing for his fantasy value
Oh yea Ekeler is back and they still could not score points? Damn
Really good coverage from NE
Oh man there is a missed field goal from LAC lol
Actually seeing two drops from NE, one from White and one from Harry I think
Talk about a coach/gm getting the most out of his team, damn Bill. Special teams TD and BIll name a more iconic duo
LAC defense doing well against Cam in the running game, IDK how they got to 45 points the offensive playmakers (CAM) are trash
Drop (ish) from Allen, good defense.
Linval Joseph lol damn what a king
Murray with his first sack, against the Pats not that bad
You just can’t take away Cam’s running ability, I guess that’s what Bill saw in him this offseason
Herbert wildly inaccurate? Yes
Nice job from Herbert stepping up in the pocket when the pass rushers were pushed behind the pocket
Lol another special teams score on a blocked field goal
INT from Herbert, wild throw and bad decision
Really nice blocking from I think Harris/ maybe White. IDK one of them
Lol nice overthrow Cam, fuck me
Another high throw but Harry came down with it, kind of a push off lol
Behind throw but a drop from Ballage
35 nothing with 7 to go in the 3rd half
Nice throw to Guyton and good route and catch from him. Very hit or miss right now from Herbert
Herbert overthrow for the INT
Harris missed a huge hole, good job by the line, consistently very good. Even after the NE O-line coach left in the offseason.
Cam can’t even throw it deep, damn
Oh my, more great special teams plays
MORE SPECIAL TEAMS WORK, FUCK ME
Stidham in around 8 min left in the game, immediately under threw Harry when he was very open in the middle
The TD Stidham threw was all on the WR (Good play Olszewski)
Herbert still in? I guess that makes sense
Seen like 8 overthrows from Herbert, amazing
Final Thoughts: Herbert still not good, we knew this was coming, remember when Jones was good for like 4 games and now what is he? Still don’t like Herbert. Defense is not impressive from NE but Belichick remains the GOAT.
