JAX vs. GB
Weather an issue for sure
No Jaire Alexander also big but they limited to Chark to 4 catches and 56 yards
James Robinson is by far the best RB the Jags had since MJD. I’m good to make that claim right now. Hold me to it unless he suffers a major injury
The Jags offensive line deserves some credit for any offensive success in this game and any game they’ve played all year. (except at the end where Luton and the line lost it for the Jags)
Kenny Clark made a really great play on a run Robinson could have had at least a first down (10 yards + for sure). The line had great blocking on that play tho
Luton doing nothing in the first half, all on Robinson for the most part
People love to rag on the Jags run D or whatever but they are doing a great job vs Aaron Jones. Good linebackers will do that when Hamilton is plugging up the center.
MVS touchdown was nice, the Jags have a terrible secondary they let up too many big plays. Time to cut Herndon/ everyone besides S. Jones and Henderson
Don’t love the big release Luton seems to have on short throws, gonna keep an eye out for that (this didn’t happen again but I saw shades of Bortles and freaked out)
Short throw to Chark on a route he was very open on, on a deep ball
OK maybe that long release was just a weird throw because I’m not seeing it anymore from Luton
Good blocking in the screen game from GB
KEEELEEN for the TD, he’s a great 4th receiver, but probably is top 3 on the team right now so they could def upgrade in this category
Not getting any pressure on Rodgers is such bad news, you can’t only rush 3 with the Jags defensive line being what it is
Did I see an Adams drop? weather impacted probs
Hamilton was a better pick than Chaisson and it’s not even close
Rodgers leading a great drive with almost no difficulty for the Pack to take the lead before the half
Luton with a bad pick before the half, good ball and the WR fell but the safety was reading it all the way
Great play from Adams and Rodgers taken away by penalty
GB coming out of the half begging the Jags to run and they do… and the Jags are stuffed
Cole has to hold onto the ball even if it’s a little behind him
Myles Jack with the clear recovery on the dropped fumbles from Adams, Henderson barely did anything. Jack has plenty of practice on fumble recoveries lol
Weird TD to Cole, on an “all slants” play Luton made an excellent throw in between 4 defenders
GB does a great job of using it’s talented RBs in space
Henderson doing a fairly good job on Adams this game, not good tho def holding off on saying good
Jags should have had a pick on Rodgers but Thomas dropped it
Not sure if Josh Allen is still hurting but he’s playing terribly today
Luton has to throw the ball deeper if he’s trying to throw it away
I can’t believe I’m saying this but the Jags defense is keeping them in this game
Good INT from the one and the only good CB on the Jags rn Sidney Jones, if he isn’t a priority to sing to an LTD of at least 3 years this org is a joke.
Jags O-line is killing it today against a good defense, Norwell playing his best football as a Jag
Big run by Jamal, the longest of the day by a good amount (that went for like 16 yards)
Adams Mossed the fuck out of Henderson and he really didn’t even need to he was open and Rodgers almost overthrew him
Thomas made a great play on third down to stop the run, had a good game will def pay attention going forward
Luton getting too many chances to win this game, he just looks like a 6th round rookie. The best parts about him are the limited athleticism, a good arm, 6th round rookie decision making (that’s probs bad)
GB getting pressure and Luton can’t step up like in most of the games to get away, I take back the athleticism memes
So much pressure on Luton it killed the game. good teams find ways to win right?
Final Thoughts: OK so not much to gleam besides a bad day from GB but they eak out a win. Jags defense looked better than the beginning of the year but the offense looks worse. Luton hasn’t shown me anything to be excited about like Minshew did last year. Not sure which QB I’d rather have at this point. Scared to see this team vs PIT but would love to see them ruin the perfect season for PIT. Luton might be able to do it (there were flashes) if the defense hold but it wont.
TB vs. CAR
Really thought this RoJo fumble was going to keep him out of most of the game, kept him down for the first half at least
TB defense is fucking great, Winfield almost came across the field to stop the first TD. Almost a really good play
Deep ball going to Brown instead of Miller is kinda dumb not gonna lie. Oh god Brady’s throws have been perfect except that deep ball, great rub route throw from Brady
Rojo getting a carry in the redzone, then Lenny gets a catch in the RZ
Brate with a nice TD, should use him and Gronk in the RZ more often. Just gimme Evans, Godwin, Brate, Gronk and Rojo and let Brady work down there.
Samuel used just as much as last game and wasn’t good. Can the community stop being so reactionary to big performances from boom or bust guys.
DJ Moore is the best playmaker outside of McCaffery on this team, use him more than Samuel yes please. Samuel is fine but Moore is just a better version of him
Lenny is a fine receiver, if he transitions to that role in TB it would be fine, he can also be a bruiser in the run game very easily. Man this TB offense has a great position player for every position
Lenny getting a lot of run now during the beginning of the 2nd quarter
Stop trying to make Brown happen, they are just forcing it to him when they have other really good options
Davis still looks like a good runner, how did the Bears fuck him up so bad or just not identify his goodness
It’s so hard to get a good linebacker group and man does TB have one
Lenny with a drop =(
Brady stepping up and throwing, he looks like a spry 35 year old. He legit looks young as fuck on this field and it’s amazing
Gronk has at least 1 good play a game this year and I feel like he could have more if Brady threw to him more, but he just doesn’t have to.
Great catch by Evans to just about end the first half
CAR defense not terrible in the first half but they just stopped AB and Lenny so that isn’t saying much
Very heavily Lenny first half, will probably see that chance now
The game is 17-17 to start the third and it feels like TB should be ahead by so much more
Evans also came down with another great TD grab, CAR defense showing some muscle in the RZ on the first drive for TB
Good job picking up the blitz from Teddy and making a good throw
The blitz got to Teddy tho and the corners just played too well to let CAR do anything
Great run by RoJo, bad angle by Boston on the run, good job by RoJo to bust through the hole
What a great job on the pick by Pierre-Paul, def forced by the blitz but still gotta compliment the full defense on a great performance here
Another overthrow by Brady on a deep ball, at least he can still sling it with the best of them
Brady with another deep throw just out of the range of Gronk
Brate with a great play to get the first, can he be used more please?
Oh my god how is Brady ever bad? He’s very strong and on point today
CAR defense at the goal line has been killing it today, good at stopping the run, giving credit to the big boys occupying blockers
Teddy can run better than Brady which isn’t saying nothing. There is just nowhere to go for Teddy in the second half
Brady picking up the blitz and making a great throw to get the first, yes please
A redzone sack for CAR, that makes sense this game. CAR is so different in the RZ it’s crazy
Murphy-Bunting made a great play on special teams, he doesn’t get enough love on this TB defense
Teddy with a great run for the TD
Brady with a throw behind AB (def the wrong route from AB) but he makes a nice snag in front of the defender
AB killing Pride Jr in coverage right now but I’m balming that on Pride
RoJo looking like 2017 Lenny in this game (at least the lenny in the game vs PIT in 2017 during the regular season)
On the Brady TD the line pushed so far into the endzone Brady wasn’t even touched probably
That last sack on Teddy was not great, low hit but not blaming Pierre-Paul
Using Lenny to run the clock out is smart, but CAR defense is doing well to get behind a good TB O-line
Good call and classic Brady to Gronk for the TD
Walker had a nice throw on his first attempt but that’s it
Final Thoughts: TB outplayed the fuck out of CAR, TB is a very good team that can beat up bad ones. Important. CAR is one season away by my estimation, the defense will be better next year. They played fine today but it was going to be impossible to stop all the talent on TB. CAR has a great core going forward and should be looking fondly on next year but just ignore this one. TB is a super bowl contender. Easy. Love the defense, the skill players and the offensive line (as soon as they get Marpet back).
NYG vs. PHI
My favorite game of the week. NYG have a good defense, please get it through your head people, they will almost always cover.
Gallman looking great out of the gate and Giants offensive line vs the run has been incredible going back to last week
Hate those little shovel passes, but it worked for the NYG this time
Jones runs the ball like such a QB but he has 384 yards on the ground this year, nothing to be scoffed at. Good for 3rd in the league. He is kinda like a cross between Murray and Allen on the ground but in the worst way possible. Not as fast as Murray but still fast, can’t take a hit like Allen but is a big dude in the run game like Allen.
Man the NYG secondary is dominating the PHI receiving group
Wentz getting some time and making plays, good to see from PHI, can’t last with this NYG line being as good as it is
PHI running game is on point to start
Smith is better tight end than Engram, fight me on this
The middle of the field is getting a little crowded for the run game thanks to Cox
If Shep can stay healthy the Giants offense might get to average to below average levels
Giants running the ball alot to start, Jones making just enough plays to keep the drive going, impressive for the young QB.
Another Dime RPO run, good yardage. Morris with a great cut on an open middle made by the Giants offensive line. IDK if they can pass block but man can they run block. I love it.
Both run games doing well but Sanders is doing way more work than Gallman
Peppers made a terrible read that allowed Rodgers to be wide open, Peppers having a not great year
Button hooks to the outside doing the most damage vs the Gmen defense
Wentz is getting hit now and his game plummeted. Feel like this is a mental issue for Wetnz this year
Jones with his first very good throw with 5 to go in the half to Dion Lewis
Eagles defense stepping up before the half
Think we’ve seen two sacks on Wentz from mishandled snaps in the first half. Feel like a lot of this is mental for Wentz but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to correct especially this season.
Scott with a great run, really good hole that Scott burst through from the line, Peters and co. doing a great job on the run that I haven’t seen before in this game. Giants D line will do that to em’
The running game leading the PHI offense this game for sure, speaks to the Gmen defense imo
All three PHI RBs doing something today huh, probably the best way to beat the Giants even when trailing
Giants defense giving the offense great field position
Jones as long as he isn’t fumbling has been good in the pocket
Holy fuck Jones almost had another TD on the ground
Good job on the PHI defense holding the Giants to a field goal
If Sanders was not active this game it would have been ever more of a blowout, PHI needed him so bad to stay in the game
Good deep throw from Jones but an even better catch from Slayton
Hate all end arounds with anyone on the Gmen roster, fuck you Garrett
Lets see the Giants defense step up and stop the PHI offense for the final time
Good start to drive on an out from Wentz
Gmen finally getting to the QB again, PHI line couldn’;t hold back the Giants forever
Final Thoughts: The Eagles are not a good enough team to make the playoffs, neither are the Giants. PHI is more average overall than the Giants but that is because of thier skill players on offense and the defense. The Giants have a very good defense but the offense is suspect. The run blocking has been very good for the past 2 games for the NYG, will monitor going forward. The pass blocking isn’t very good for the Giants tho. Bradberry again shutting down WR1s
WAS vs. DET
Good start from Alex Smith, Gibson getting the early third down run. To be expected
Terry should have ate even more vs DET defense
Smith went down quick when getting sacked. Kinda was yikes for me but glad he was OK lol
Swift with a great run, Hall with a great route and little bit of a bump but not enough for PI and a perfect throw from Stafford
Disappointing for the WAS defense, but Stafford is a good QB
Smith vs the blitz has not been good in the first quarter
Big sack from WAS that was negated by Stafford’s helmet coming off, fucking dumb
Was curious to see whose line was better the DET O-line or the WAS D-line and right now it’s DET
Swift killing it early
Stafford with some great throws, Jones with the TD, Stafford just beat the zone.
McKissic has been unlocked and it’s because Riverboat Ron understands talent when he sees it (outside of Haskins lol)
Smith just missed McKissic on a would be TD throw
Allen with a big stop on second down, good run defender finally got the edge
Alex Smith leading the two minute drill with McKissic, my favorite combo
Jamie Collins is the best part of this DET defense and he finally gets to put something else besides tackles on the stats sheet with a forced fumble. HUGE
STAFFORD SIDE ARM, I ALMOST FORGOT ABOUT IT
Illegal forward pass stalling the drive for DET, Stafford taking what he can get vs a good defense. WAS has been beat by good throws from Stafford but they are locking DET down otherwise in the first half
Swift having a very good game, bullied the defense on his catch for a TD
Gibson with a good run, the line did a lot of work but it was a good comeback cut from Gibson and he probably should have gotten more yards from it
Terry with a huge amount of distance on a big catch, so much separation I was drooling
McKissic getting a goal line run, didn’t do much. The WAS line has been mauling in the run game vs DET. Impressive
McKissic getting a lot more run than I thought especially on short down situations, like Gibson more there even if the line is playing well
WAS cannot finish, Isaiah Wright having a very good game, might be worth a look. Def rather have in fantasy rather than Sims
Swift is making some very seriously great moves in the open field on good WAS defenders wow
Gibson with a really good run on first and goal with a cut outside
Swift getting the corner was nice, he is doing it all this game, making so many guys miss this has to be a career high
DET O-line is losing the to the WAS D-line later in the game and Swift is still succeeding
Logan Thomas def benefits from the QB change, Smith is just a better passer all around
Deep ball from Alex Smith, good to see a good throw deep from him even if incomplete
DET defense is not good and Smith carved them up on the under
Smith gets the ball out so quick it’s hard to judge the DET pass rush but I still don’t think it’s good
Oh God Detroit is working thier late game magic and it worked again, 4-5 is about where they fall with a very good QB but man have they gotten very lucky ad very unlucky at certain times
Love the Gibson and McKissic combo for RB, it’s a split backfield that isn’t great for fantasy but for the team is really good
Stafford is carrying the passing offense without Golladay
WAS defense still a top unit
Final Thoughts: Matt Stafford made some great throws and won the game. Alex Smith looks very much like the Alex Smith of old and I love it. The WAS defense got beat early on one big play and a good throw from Stafford to beat cover 2 but I think in most matchups I would take WAS but sometimes good QBs find ways to win. The WAS O-line was impressive in the running game. Swift blew me out of the water, best rookie RB just like a called it before the draft. Still think WAS is very much in the hunt for the playoffs with Smith at QB. Terry is a god btw, he needs more love as a top 10 reciever.
HOU vs CLE
CLE just beats up on bad teams but the weather def helped them in this game
Landry starting out he game with a catch, nice =)
Baker off the playaction is unrivaled, legit best QB on the play action
Run blocking is mauling, I use that word fairly lightly normally but this is legit mauling of the HOU defense. Combine that with good RBs and this game was over with the weather being what it is
Duke with a good run! Love to see it, would love to see him get a full time job. Couldn’t even use Duke in the best way possible tho in the running game
Fuller can do it all, screen game as well. Love him as a WR every other NFL team fucked up by not getting him for a second round pick
Stills with a great grab
Duke Johnson with a Lev Bell esc run and bounce to the outside, good to see.
Tunsil on an island with Garrett is scary but Tunsil can handle it so far
Dope fake field goal punt from HOU. Good call, BOB would never do that
Watt making a big run stopping play, he’s underrated in his run stopping ability
Baker with a good throw on third down to get the first on the two minute drill
Baker with a throw behind Peoples-Jones, love the roll out with Baker he really succeeds when the field is limited for him by design
Duke is looking smoooth on most of his runs
Watson with a good throw but Fuller dropped it, not a good look
Chubb is a god and the fact that he gets to also have Hunt as a complimentary back is fucking unfair. AND THE O-LINE IS REALLY GOOD TOO
Duke getting a first down on short yardage situation is good/can def split more with David Johnson after this or else HOU is truly lost
Is Ronnie Harrison having a good season, oh man that’s not ok
Watson using his feet finally with 5 to go in the third
Chubb is the finished version of what I hope Swift can be, Chubb is a complete traditional RB
Watson with a good RPO, should use it more but don’t want him to get hurt. I get it
Even when the CLE line isn’t perfect in run blocking Chubb and Hunt are killing it
Watson with a very bad pass that got him 30 yards and it was the luckiest shit I’ve seen him throw ever. Throwing up a ball in the middle of the field in between 4 defenders, not a good look
Nice throw to Fells on the TD, not sure what route he was running with Fuller right there but count it
Chubb going out of bounds to end the game was smart, I get that it kills fantasy owners but Chubb is great player and he made the right move
Final Thoughts: Baker will never be the QB I thought he would be this year, especially without OBJ. But that doesn’t matter for CLE, they can run the ball better than any team in the NFL and it’s not close. CLE defense looked good today, not as many sacks as I expected but they were shutting down Fuller. The weather def played a factor but doing a good job shutting down Watson was the key victory in this one. Duke looked good, I think I can see him being a feature back somewhere or at least sharing a 50/50 role. Tunsil did a great job today on Garrett. Think the CLE defense can be good on paper, excited to see them next week vs PHI.
LV vs. DEN
Raiders defense shutting down Lock rn lol
Carr with a great throw on a slant in tight coverage, pro bowl level play
Jacobs with a nice TD run, love the blocking tho
OK throw from Lock to Jeudy but a way better play by Jeudy in the middle of the field
Jacobs with a good run without the help of the o-line
Hamler with a good catch on a slant but a bad throw from Lock, don’t think he’s made a good throw the entire first quarter
Crosby is having a good year, man was he a steal in the draft
Gordon had 3 runs in a row that were not good, the fourth was good but then as soon as Lindsay comes in he’s stuffed. It wasn’t his fault. Still rather see more Lindsay. Sad the DEN offense was so bad without him… makes you think…
3rd and 14 interception isn’t that bad considering the circumstance but it was a bad throw from Lock irregardless
Callahan is having a year, unsung for sure, made another great play in single coverage
Denver has started two drives at like thier 2, LV defense doing a good job shutting down this offense
Waller really does have great hands
People maybe need to consider the checkdowns for Carr are not by design but Carr is just going through his reads and sees nothing downfield because the receivers are not that good. The checkdowns are also good (RBs/Waller). Also he’s not turning over the ball which is critical for QBs
Great lob throw to Waller from Carr over two linebackers on DEN
Carr has been good in the pocket too, and while he def is conservative in this game he is leading the team to victory. That’s what matters, plus Lock is terrible so as long as you don’t fuck up you can beat the DEN offense with Lock at QB
Oh I should note I still like Lock more than any of his backups so this isn’t a Nick Foles situation (this year at least)
Lock with a terrible throw to end the half (at least it was to Jeudy) terrible
Carr with a goodish deep throw a little behind Waller but Waller dropped it. Inexcusable drop imo
Comes back with a great grab in traffic tho, good on Waller
Melvin Gordon loves the spin move, it’s semi effective. Gets away from one defender but spins right into another tackle
Like the screen pass to Renfore, not a complete jailbreak screen but he can make one guy miss and get a first on 1st and 10.
Nice catch from Ruggs on Simmons, high throw by Carr after Ruggs got behind the defender
Good blocking on the second TD for Jacobs, Jacobs bounced outside well tho
Blitz forced Lock to make a bad throw, right to the LB. No excuse for that
Booker gettin some revenge is funny but I wouldn’t make a big deal out of it
Hamler with another 10 target game, take notice! He was a 2nd round pick in a very crowded receiver class. the talent is there if used correctly
Strip was the right call, Hamilton is not a good receiver get him and Tim off the team plz
Hamler good break tackle
Do I care about Lock’s garbage time drive, no. But it’s good for fantasy, DEN seems to make a lot of late game comebacks. But not all are relevant and they don’t help Lindsay (who is thier second best option on offense)
A final INT to end this game seems fitting
Final Thoughts: LV is just a better team than DEN. LV has been a harder team for me to judge than most. The offense seems average and the defense isn’t very good. So how are they 6-3? (and they also beat KC). I think I’ve got the formula now. Carr is playing very good football, the O-line is great, they have a good running back to keep the defense off the field. But the defense might be more solid than I initially expected, they have a good linemen (Crosby/Nassib) and some decent players in the secondary (Arnette/Heath). But this just has to be true, they are a well coached team with a very good QB at the helm and that can take you to great places in the NFL. DEN needs a new QB, I just don’t see a lot redeeming about Lock besides his big arm and supporting cast. They will be a team I’ll be hype on for a while tho, Callahan is having a great year which I think can translate to the next, then they get Von back and the defense looks even better (it’s good now im). Then they get Sutton back, Lindsay is healthy and Juedy has a year under his belt the offense is really good. It’s all about the QB, they should try and do anything they can to get a new one in the offseason. Good Lo(u)ck next year DEN.
BUF vs. ARI
Good run to start off with Edmonds, what has happened to the Bills defense. JK it gets way better
The run blocking is letting both Drake and Edmonds look strong early on
Kyler get down man, you dumb fuck. Why are you not sliding now
Hopkins getting shut down at the goal line early and he looked PISSED, that’s some nice foreshadowing Football Gods
John Brown with a good cut inside on the jailbreak screen catch
Allen with a good grab on the TD run, he’s a fucking big dude but I worry again about the hits he continues to take
Murray coming out very flat in the next drive, not good
If Diggs didn’t have over 100 yards I would consider this game a disappointment. He made a great catch in tight coverage
Beasley with a great catch and run, still a very relevant WR, all 3 on BUF can be. Think I’m leaning more Diggs and Cole rather than John Brown
Allen with a ridiculous throw into like triple coverage, thank god the receiver played defender there or it would have been a pick
Hopkins holding onto a catch after getting hit, great player
BUF secondary playing well into the second quarter, impressed after the two big runs in the beginning
I don’t think Allen handles pressure very well but this is the first time I remember noting this but will monitor in the future
Straight up the middle run for Edmonds, I guess the BUF run stopping is bad, the secondary seems to be holding Kyler in check and Hopkins (to the best anyone can hold D Hop)
Kyler almost picked on a really good play from Poyer, not a terrible throw but still should be noted it was very close to being picked
Allen with a rare underthrow that almost got picked, it was a good idea but bad execution
Love the Allen to Beasley connection
Another jailbreak screen but it was snuffed out this time, why try that multiple times? Dumb on BUF (Mcdurmott is a good coach but I need to shit on him for this call 100%)
Drake with a big fumble, just had the ball punched out, very not good. He should be benched the rest of the game imo, Chase isn’t that much of a downgrade at RB
Allen is not playing well
Moss with a good run, he’s probably marginally better than Singletary
Beasley demolished Peterson on his TD, great route and superb hands. The Allen connection is so good for him, wish he was a tad bit younger and this could be a thing for years to come
BUF defense is playing well into the third against the pass
BIG open play by Hopkins, he was covered by a LB soooo that makes sense
Larry looking slow as fuck but he still can run a route like almost no one else
Kyler with a good RPO, Kliff knows how to call the right plays with Kyler
Oh my god Diggs gained about 10 yards on a catch behind the line of scrimmage, he’s good EVEN AFTER THE CATCH
Kyler getting out of bounds good to see
BUF defense really impressing me this game, bending and not breaking is very important in the modern NFL
Braindead throw by Allen for an INT, Peterson made the play which is nice but Allen telegraphed that, even if Peterson didn’t adjust it would have been an easy incomplete pass
Kirk having a bad game but shouldn’t force it to him Kyler
OK Kyler made up for it with a good TD run
Throwing lots of screen to Brown, not sure if it’s because of the success of the first one or not but I think it probably is
Josh Allen under pressure made a hail mary throw in the backfield to SIngletary and got bailed the fuck out that it wasn’t an INT or worse
Good cut to the outside by Drake but nothing special, the line has been great in run blocking. probably like 65% the line doing a good job and the rest the RBs
Kyler with a bad throw behind Larry, he made a good attempt at the catch but it turned into an INT, that was just unlucky for Kyler
Great catch from Brown on a high throw in double coverage
Drake making guys miss more and Edmonds is just following blocks. More credit to Drake rn
Kyler you have to throw the ball away even on a run, that’s like textbook
ANOTHER PICK from Josh Allen, when will the pain end? Bad throw, turns into an INT
BUF defense really stepping up this game, in a huge way
Wow, Allen with a good drive and what a throw to finish it off. great route and catch from Diggs but the throw is hella impressive. Allen is so boom or bust on throws lol Peterson was in tight coverage but Allen and Diggs just beat him, almost impossible to stop.
The end of this game had two great TD throws and catches from both offenses, great way to end the game but I’m salty as fuck about it. (Had BUF +2.5 so at least that worked out)
Final Thoughts: BUF defense played way better than I thought it would. Props there. Josh Allen is good at times bad a good amount of time too. I personally think he’s a fine QB but not my type of QB (too many mistakes) but maybe he will grow out of it? (I doubt it). ARI defense isn’t that good but again they have some good players. Still solid on that opinion. Kyler had a down game but BUF defense really killed it this game shutting down Hopkins the best they could. The ARI O-line run blocked well? That’s new.
LAC vs. MIA
Let’s get this Herbert shitshow on the road (JK,JK) OK it was an actual shit show for him damn.
Good sack to start the game, MIA defense good everyone else jealous.
Big overthrow from Herbert on a blitz on third down
Good TD run but that was the all the MIA special teams which is very underrated, I’ve done a disservice to them as well
Fins got lucky on an offside, Tua with a good throw to Grant for an almost TD, good read on the actual TD
Tua threading the needle on a good throw
Don’t love the option from Tua, think you can make a better call on that MIA coach (Flores?)
Bad snap on the MIA fumble not on Tua
Like using Grant in creative way for MIA tho
Fuck me Ballage actually looking ok in his role, it feels like it would logically follow that the O-line must be good if they are producing good RB after good RB after RB but that doesn’t seem to be the case on film.
Love going for it on 4th down, good job on the line bullying the MIA D-line
Really not using Herbert on the LAC drive, are they scared of the corners? I would be even with Allen/Williams
LAC D-line is dominating the MIA O-line, to no one’s surprise, they need to upgrade the O-line
Herbert dumping it underneath because MIA is shutting down the offense, Herbert having a horrible day and I’m here for it
I was kind of memeing in the beginning but he has been awful this game, totally missing guys, no one is open for him to throw to, can’t force it into tight spaces. Bad game through the half
Tua has been fine but I’m not seeing anything eye popping
IDK who Perry (WR) is but he made a good move
Tua shaking off a sack is nice, but missed an open receiver coming across the field in the endzone
Herbert checking down again, not a bad thing just an observation (it becomes a pattern and it’s bad later on)
MIA defense finally getting a stop in the running game
Herbert has to step up and makes a good throw to Williams, best play of the game from him?
The TD Herbert threw for could have been scored like 4 different ways, total failure on the MIA defense’s part
Tua with a scary throw in the middle of the field but threaded the needle. don’t love it
MIA O-line getting dominated still this game
Tua with a bad throw into double coverage in the endzone
Ballage with a good forced missed tackle in space
Herbert getting sacked, under a lot of pressure from MIA
Herbert with a terrible INT, WIlliams had to play defense but the pass rush was there too. Herbert cant handle the blitz rn
Decent running from Ahmed, good catch in the RZ
Herbert getting blitzed and overthrew a receiver deep (by a lot)
MIA getting great field position to start most drives
More short throws from Herbert, they are not getting it done
4th down incomplete pass form Herbert having the most inaccurate day I’ve seen from him yet, reminiscent of college
Big hole for Laird to run through
IDK if I like Ahmed more than Gaskin but excited to see them both in the backfield
This game is over 29 to 14 with 4 to go in the game. The Chargers score but it’s garbage time 100%
Williams with a nice catch, why didn’t we see more of that early on. Mike needs to be used more.
Final Thoughts: MIA is a playoff team, they might win the division with more than 9 wins just like I boldly predicted lol. Lots of pressure from MIA (that def won the game) along with special teams plays. Herbert had a terrible game, let’s see how he rebounds going forward but I saw a lot of this on his college tape and I hated it then. Need to use Mike Williams more, if he’s in single coverage he’s probably actually open. Use him plz. Tua was unimpressive but not bad, if you have a good defense I guess that’s what you want from a QB. Would like to see Tua see more adversity this year tho. MIA needs help on the offensive line, time to steal more Dallas players? lol
LA vs. SEA
Kupp starting out the game with a nice catch and run, I’m here for it
Akers with an OK run to start the game
Goff with time in the pocket finds Kupp for a big gain, that’s all my boy needs
SEA drive on the rebound from LA field goal is impressive, great drive by Wilson and the LAR defense playing poorly on the first drive
Collins with a great run to finish off the drive, weird to see Alex Collins come back up from the fantasy grave
Higbee with a big play, good to see
Goff with time is so dangerous
OK even under pressure with a turn around screen Goff looked good, damn. Are we able to talk about which QB is better Goff or Wentz? Is it getting closer now? (No)
Henderson with a powerful run to score the TD, best back they have
Clear offsides on the Williams pick, Russ probably saw that and made a rash throw but it was a good play
Great play from Russ on third down, LAR playing very tough defensive football
Figured Lockett would be involved more than DK and it’s bearing out right now
Russ trying to run on 3rd and 21 is nice to see
Wow SEA needs help up front, they can’t stop this rushing attack
Wright made a great play on another tight end screen, could have had a pick
This LAR O-line is dominating and the RBs are taking advantage
LAR running too many screens, especially TE screens I fucking hate them
Love the play action tho from LAR
Long as fuck drive finished off by Malcolm Brown, great run to finished it, followed the blocking well and made a few guys miss
Really expected a good LB group with a not terrible D-line to hold the Rams running attack in check but they just can’t. Credit to the LAR O-line
Russ to Lockett with a defender in his face, such a great QB. Lockett taking advantage of DK being shut down by Jalen
Jamal Adams with a forced fumble, he is such a force defensively people forget about him
Williams gets the pick finally. Very uncharacteristic pick from Russ in the endzone but the TE was open. Williams just made a great play that made Russ look silly.
Goff getting pressure on him, and gets sacked. Not great but not terrible
Floyd almost had another sack if Russ didn’t magically throw the ball way up into the air to the RB. WHAT THE FUCK HE’S A MONSTER
How the fuck did SEA make the field goal, damn man
Henderson killing it in the run game, I can kinda see where PFF going on about when he was thier first ranked RB
Reynolds getting some good catches, using his body to box out the defenders on good inside throws from Goff
Goff under pressure overthrew Reynolds who was open
Jamal Adams makes this defense 5x better and that isn’t an exaggeration
Getting all the RBs involved in this game, LAR doing a good job of keeping the ball out of Russ’ hands
Floyd with his first sack, not really because his play but because of the team blitzing, next one is a coverage sack but good moves from Floyd
SEA D-line still getting killed, LB can’t make up for the last of push from the D-line
Fucking damn Goff, step up in the pocket
Collins looking good running the ball, I’m impressed
Deep ball to DK, almost connected on the throw but a bit out of reach, Jalen doing a very good job on him all game
Floyd with a good fumble recovery on a botched snap, can’t do that Russ (not entirely his fault)
DK getting his first catch in zone, no surprise there
Wouldn’t count on Olson being great going forward, kinda lucking into these catches from Russ’ great play
LAR are getting after Russ, very bad look for the SEA O-line. Hard to blame them with Donald in the middle
Williams with another great read on Russ for another pick, man he has your number @Russ
Jamal with a stop for a loss in the backfield, love to see it
Jalen got beat but the PI should not have been called the ball was impossible, they might have gone with holding tho
Rus with a great run on 3rd down, then gets sacked man he is getting no help from this line today. BUT LAR has a good defense
FInal Thoughts: McVay is great pff the bye, called it. Russ was under constant pressure the whole game, can’t put the loss squarely on him. Lockett getting more involved than DK makes sense. Jalen was shutting DK down the whole game. Floyd had a good game but the whole D-line was killing it. Goff still bad under pressure, got worse as the game went on. Jamal Adams is still a game changer in case y’all forgot. LAR are a contender don’t let anyone tell you different.
