NFL Waiver Wire Week 3 2020

Def not a big week for waiver wire adds. Wouldn’t go too hard on the waiver wire budget or if you have a high claim. Anyone I mentioned in the past you should already own, but I’ll throw in a bit more. See the below with a few additions.

- Myles Gaskin
- Russell Gage
- Joshua Kelley
- OJ Howard
- Allen Lazard
- Corey Davis
- Dalton Schultz
- Chase Claypool
- Mecole Hardman
- Tre'Quan Smith

1. Justin Jefferson: Probably the highest add on most guys list. He was always a highly respected rookie at least in my book so the praise is probably worth it. Thought Bisi would make this more of a challenge for rookie without a preseason but Jefferson is a firm WR2 on a team that can obviously support two. This might have been his best performance all year tho so keep expectations in check.

2. Carlos Hyde: Kind of a short wire this week and if Carson is hurt Hyde can easily slide in and be more than a good replacement. That’s about the long and short of it. He’s the replacement.

3. Jimmy Graham: As long as he’s involved in the offense he’s worth an add and a start. He’s looked way better on film so far this year than in the past 2. Even besides that he’s one of the most involved tight ends in the game and in fantasy football it’s all about opportunity. To be fair this could be a short term situation if Kmet sees the field in a meaningful way soon.

4. Tee Higgins: Coming on a lot slower than Jefferson but he’s still coming on strong. If AJ Green gets hurt Tee is the easy WR2 on this team and that’s worth a lot with the bad Bengals defense. Even with AJ he’s still got lots of upside. Great hands and great red-zone threat makes me view him as young Mike Williams who can grab a touchdown every game.

5. Brian Hill: Looked better than Gurley at points and the Falcons aren’t married to Gurley so a switch to a split backfield is 100% possible. Think you can take a chance on that especially in a high powered offense.

6. Mo Alie-Cox: Again if you’re involved then you’re relevant. Especially if you are a tight end. Grab him while you can and if you believe in the talent. PFF really likes him but I’m still not convinced he’s a fantasy mainstay.

7. Jeff Wilson Jr.: Are we chasing points here? probably but if he’s involved with the offense then you should want to have him on the team. Won’t get an easier matchup than the Jets but if Mostert is still out Wilson is a start in a deep league.

Don’t chase points with Rex Burkhead, especially with Rex c’mon we’ve all been there before. Don’t be dumb.

  • Also consider Alex Smith if you need a QB because the Haskins benching is probably coming soon
